We're looking for a
Creative Community Engagement &Placemaking; Specialist
to join our Creative Venues and Libraries team. Inthis role, you'll help shape how people connect with arts, culture andcommunity across Latrobe City by developing innovative programs, activatingpublic spaces and fostering meaningful community participation.

What You'll be Doing




Drive audience development and communityparticipation initiatives across Council's creative venues and culturalprograms.
Build strong partnerships with artists, FirstNations communities, schools, businesses and community organisations.
Champion accessible, inclusive and community-ledapproaches that encourage participation and strengthen local connection.
Lead the development and delivery of creativecommunity engagement and placemaking initiatives across Latrobe City.
Activate public spaces through public artprojects, installations, seasonal activations and community events.
Secure and manage grants, sponsorships andpartnerships to support cutting-edge cultural projects.
About You
You are a creative and community-minded professional who ispassionate about the role arts, culture and placemaking play in creatingvibrant and connected communities. You enjoy bringing people together, buildingstrong relationships and turning ideas into engaging experiences that have apositive impact. With experience managing projects and working with diversestakeholders, you thrive in collaborative environments and are excited by theopportunity to shape cultural experiences across Latrobe City.
Key Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Arts Management,Cultural Development, Community Engagement, Urban Planning or a related field,or substantial relevant experience.
Experience delivering creative communityengagement, cultural programming,



placemaking initiatives or public artprojects that strengthen community connection.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with theability to build effective partnerships across community groups, artists,schools, businesses and First Nations communities.
Demonstrated project management experience,including planning, budgeting, grant management, reporting and deliveringsuccessful outcomes.
