Sous Chef
to join our culinary team and work alongside our Executive Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will be an integral leader within the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef across daily operations, service delivery, team development and menu execution.
You will work across our award-winning restaurant, elegant high tea offering, private events and weddings, ensuring every guest receives an outstanding culinary experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Lead and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff during service
Deliver exceptional food quality and presentation across all services
Assist with menu development, seasonal planning and recipe consistency
Manage stock control, ordering, rostering and cost management initiatives
Train, mentor and develop junior chefs and apprentices
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness




Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performance kitchen culture
About You
You are a passionate hospitality professional who leads by example and thrives under pressure. You have a genuine love of great food, strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
To Be Successful You Will Have
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality restaurant, winery, hotel or premium venue
Robust leadership, communication and team management skills
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
Excellent knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements
A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality
A positive attitude and willingness to be hands‐on during service
Full Australian working rights
Reliable transport to Coldstream, Yarra Valley
