We are seeking an experienced Medical Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and operational support to an Upper GI Surgeon. Working directly with the specialist, you will take ownership of the day-to-day administrative functions of the practice, ensuring seamless patient coordination, efficient scheduling, and exceptional quality of care.

This full/part time position (ideally four and a half days per week) offers high autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to become an integral member of a close-knit, dedicated specialist practice.

Key Responsibilities
n

Providing direct PA support to the surgeon
n
Managing appointments and complex surgical schedules
n
Coordinating patient consultations, procedures, and follow-ups
n




Liaising with patients, GPs, hospitals, and specialists
n
Transcribing and dispatching medical correspondence and reports
n
Processing patient billing and health fund claims via Eclipse
n
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
n

About You
n
n
Prior experience as a medical PA, specialist secretary, or senior medical administrator
n
Demonstrated accuracy in medical transcription and correspondence
n
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands
n
High proficiency with practice management software (Gentu preferred) and Eclipse billing
n
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, professional manner
n
Ability to work autonomously and anticipate daily practice needs
n
