Direct Steel Wagga is looking for a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our team.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and a outstanding opportunity to learn all aspects of the steel industry. Previous steel industry experience or knowledge would be advantageous, but isn't necessary – if you have the right attitude and are willing to learn, we'll train you up.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Picking and preparing customer orders
Loading and unloading trucks
Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse and yard
Using inventory systems to manage and monitor stock
Checking incoming goods and ensuring they are received in good condition
Keeping track of stock within the warehouse and yard
Assisting customers when required
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workplace
Following all workplace health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate will:
Be reliable and prepared for physical, hands-on work
Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Be able to follow instructions and work safely
Work well within a team environment
Hold a current driver's licence
Have basic computer skills and be willing to learn new programs
Hold a forklift licence – preferred but not essential
Knowledge of steel products would be advantageous, but is not required

This is a full-time, secure position.
Monday to Friday:
8:00am – 5:00pm
Most Saturdays:
8:00am – 12:00pm
