This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects within the mechanical trade industry . Key responsibilities
n
n
Assisting skilled tradespeople on site with installation, maintenance and repair tasks
n
Preparing work areas by clearing debris, organizing materials and ensuring sites are clean and safe
n
Operating and maintaining hand tools and light power tools in accordance with safety guidelines
n
Loading, unloading and transporting materials, equipment and supplies to and from job sites
n
Following health and safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents immediately
n
Supporting ductwork and PVC pipework installation
n
Assisting with site maintenance and keeping work areas tidy and organized
n
Communicating effectively with team members to ensure coordination and efficiency on site
n
Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to project specifications and timelines
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Proven experience as a laborer within the trades or construction industry
n
A solid understanding of basic electrical safety practices and site safety protocols
n
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
n
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and light power tools
n
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport to reach job site
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
n
Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
n
A willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople
n
White Card or equivalent construction induction training
n
High standard of workmanship
n
