General Labourer

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team at a busy sawmill.
n
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors and being part of a team. Previous sawmill experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided to the right person.
n
This position is a permanent position and the hours will be 7am start and a 4pm finish Monday - Thursday. 7am-1:30pm finish on Fridays!
n
Duties include:
n
n
General labouring and manual handling
n
Assisting with timber processing and production
n
Stacking, sorting and moving timber
n
Keeping the yard and work areas clean and organised
n
Operating basic equipment and machinery after training
n
Following workplace health and safety procedures
n
Other general duties as required
n
n
About you:
n
n
Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
n
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
n
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
n
Works well independently and as part of a team
n
Previous experience in a sawmill, yard,



construction or similar environment is desirable
n
Forklift or machinery experience is an advantage
n
n
