We are partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to engage an experienced Data Governance Consultant. This role will suit a collaborative governance professional who can translate data-management principles into practical frameworks, controls and business processes.
n
About the Role
n
You will support the development and implementation of enterprise data-governance practices, working closely with business owners, data stewards, technology teams and senior stakeholders.
n
The role will focus on strengthening data ownership, quality, compliance and transparency across the organisation while embedding sustainable governance practices into day-to-day operations.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and implement data-governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
n
Establish clear data ownership and stewardship responsibilities across business domains.
n
Facilitate governance workshops, forums and stakeholder discussions.
n
Support business glossary, metadata, data lineage and data-classification initiatives.
n
Define and monitor data-quality controls, measures and remediation activities.
n
Assess existing governance practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
n
Develop governance artefacts, process documentation and reporting.
n
Support compliance with privacy, security and regulatory obligations.
n
Work with business and technical teams to embed governance requirements into projects and operational processes.
n




Promote data-governance awareness and adoption across the organisation.

Skills & Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Strong experience delivering data-governance or enterprise data-management initiatives.
n
Demonstrated experience developing governance frameworks, policies, standards and operating models.
n
Strong knowledge of data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, classification and data quality.
n
Experience facilitating workshops and engaging senior business and technology stakeholders.
n
Ability to translate governance principles into clear, practical business processes.
n
Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
n
Experience working within complex enterprise or regulated environments.
n
Knowledge of privacy, security, risk and compliance considerations relating to enterprise data.
n
