Flowers Vasette Pty Ltd is seeking an
Event Co-ordinator/Florist
to join our team on a
full-time basis
(minimum of 4 days a week can be offered depending on experience) at our Port Melbourne location. This is a key role that combines creative floristry expertise with event management capabilities. You will be the first point of contact for a wide variety of clients — from brides-to-be, to corporate accounts, to one-off gifting enquiries — guiding them through the quoting and booking process with warmth, professionalism, and floral know-how.
What you'll be doing
Manage budgets and quotations for events to maximise profitability whilst maintaining quality standards
Liaise with clients to understand their vision, preferences and requirements, translating these into stunning floral displays, with the help of our creative studio floristry teamCoordinate all aspects of event floristry, including site visits, client consultations and design proposals
Manage event timelines and project planning, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule and to specification
Oversee the preparation, arrangement and installation of floral installations at event venues
Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage inventory of flowers, foliage and event materials
Mentor and support junior florists and event staff
Ensure quality control across all floral work and event coordination activities
Handle event troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure client satisfaction
What we're looking for
Minimum 3+ years' experience as a professional florist with experience in event floristry, including arrangement design, installation and preservation methods




Demonstrated experience in event coordination and management
Strong creative flair with an eye for design, colour coordination and contemporary floral trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to tight deadlines
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to client requests and unexpected challenges
Physical capability to perform event tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods and detailed hand work
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering premium-quality work consistently
Preferred: experience with event software and customer management systems
