About the role
We are seeking a
Junior Accountant
to join the finance team at TPP Hospitality Group. This is a full-time position based in
Glebe, NSW ****
. In this role, you will support the preparation and maintenance of financial records, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting function. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic hospitality environment and gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting.
Key responsibilities
Recording and processing daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances
Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring documentation is properly filed and organised
Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities
Performing general ledger data entry and journal entry processing
Supporting external audits and providing requested financial information
Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures
Liaising with other departments to gather financial information and clarify transactions
What we're looking for
A relevant accounting qualification (such as completion of an accounting degree, diploma or equivalent professional qualification)
Knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices,



including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with XERO accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organisational and time management skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Experience in the hospitality industry or a similar service-based environment is desirable
Previous experience with payroll or multi-site accounting is advantageous
