About the role:
n
n
Run complex employment and workplace matters from start to finish.
n
Lead Fair Work Commission proceedings and employment litigation.
n
Advise on general protections and adverse action claims.
n
Act on restraint of trade and confidential information disputes.
n
Manage sensitive executive appointments, exits and negotiated departures.
n
Advise on complex terminations and workplace disputes.
n
Provide strategic employment advice on commercially and reputationally sensitive matters.
n
Act as the primary adviser to boards, business owners, HR leaders and senior executives.
n
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers while remaining hands-on in significant matters.
n
n
The ideal candidate:
n
n
Special Counsel with substantial experience in employment law
n
Have strong experience running complex employment disputes and advisory matters
n
Be comfortable acting as the primary adviser to sophisticated clients
n
Have the confidence to make strategic calls and lead matters independently
n
Enjoy mentoring and developing junior lawyers
n
Be commercially minded and interested in contributing to the growth of a practice
n
