Cardijn College invites applications for aHouse Leader position at Marian Campus.
n
This significant leadership opportunity is suited to educators who are passionate about student wellbeing, pastoral care and academic growth. House Leaders play a vital role in fostering a strong sense of belonging, building positive relationships with families and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
n
Position would be considered across both Middle Years (Years 7–9) and Senior Years (Years *****). The successful applicant will work collaboratively with students, families, Homeroom Teachers, House teams and College leaders to support the holistic development of every student within their House.

About the Role
n
House Leaders hold a significant leadership position within the College and are responsible for the pastoral, academic, behavioural and spiritual development of students within their House. Through a strong case management approach, House Leaders monitor student engagement, wellbeing and progress, ensuring that every student receives the support, encouragement and guidance required to succeed.
n
The role requires visible leadership, proactive communication with families and close collaboration with teaching and wellbeing staff to create a positive and inclusive environment where students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
n
The successful applicants will:
n
n
Lead the pastoral care, wellbeing and academic development of students within their House.
n
Build solid relationships with students and families through regular communication and case management.
n
Monitor student attendance, engagement, behaviour and academic progress.
n
Work closely with Homeroom Teachers, Counsellors and College leaders to support student success.
n




Provide leadership in student wellbeing, behaviour support and personal development.
n
Coordinate and support House activities, assemblies, events and celebrations.
n
Support student leadership programs and election processes within the House.
n
Lead restorative conversations and support the resolution of student concerns and grievances.
n
Mentor and support Homeroom Teachers and early career teachers.
n
Contribute to the development and implementation of pastoral care initiatives across the Campus.
n
Promote a positive House culture that reflects the values and mission of Cardijn College.

Active support for the Catholic ethos, mission and values of Cardijn College.
n
Current Teacher Registration in South Australia.
n
Accreditation (or willingness to obtain accreditation) to work in Catholic Education South Australia.
n
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning.
n
Experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care, mentoring or leadership roles will be highly regarded.
n
Commitment to maintaining all relevant child safety and employment clearances.
