Whilst significant, our role has shifted to include 'providing work opportunities', 'fostering and creating small enterprises', supporting 'emerging businesses', supporting Government objectives - in essence assisting communities to plan for and RISE to the challenge of self-determination.
A day in the life of a ISEP Youth Coach can include:
* Manage a caseload of participants who have vocational, and non-vocational barriers to employment/study/health services
* Conduct initial assessments of participants to identify short- and long-term goals
* Attend local secondary schools to provide information to staff and students about ISEP, and support students who are exiting the school system
* Engage with young people in the local community to attract eligible participants to the service
* Support participants to access education and training opportunities
* Provide pre and post-employment support and training
* Support participants to develop vocational and non-vocational skills
* Assist participants to access local community service supports
* Participate in local community,



employment and networking events and forums to promote the ISEP and build a network of local support services and employers

Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated record of success in delivering employment and or community/non-vocational services to clients
* Mental Health First Aid (Desirable)
* Previous experience in Youth Work, Community Services or Employment Services (Desirable)
* Well-developed organisational and time-management skills
* Highly developed communication and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to operate within the guidelines of WH&S;, Privacy and Equal Opportunity Acts.
* Ability to perform your duties in accordance with organisation requirements, external stakeholders i.e. NIAA
* Demonstrated record of success in delivering employment and or community/non-vocational services to clients

To be considered you must...
* Have full working rights in Australia
* Have a current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
* Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
* Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
* Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
