This market leading business operates nationally and in New Zealand. Due to internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to step into a hands‐on leadership role within a large, complex operating environment.

This opportunity will suit a technically robust accountant who enjoys being close to the business, leading people, and partnering with Commercial Finance in a complex, fast‐moving environment.

The Role
n
Sitting within a major operating division, this position leads the divisional accounting function and partners closely with Commercial Finance to provide critical inputs, reviews and commercial commentary.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Leading month‐end and year‐end close activities.
n
Managing and developing an accounting team of ~ 8.
n
Owning balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
n
Partnering with Commercial Finance on results and analysis.
n
Supporting statutory reporting, audits and external compliance
n
Working across multiple systems during an ongoing digital transformation..
n

About You
n




You are a confident, detail‐driven finance professional with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset who is comfortable being hands‐on while managing people in a complex environment.
n
You will bring:
n
n
CA or CPA qualification.
n
Strong financial accounting and period close experience within large or contract‐based organisations
n
Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing an accounting team.
n
Confidence working across multiple ERP and legacy systems (SAP, TM1 or similar).
n
Experience with data visualisation tools, e.g. Power BI, Tableau
n
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
