Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Toowoomba or Stanthorpe, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for an intermediate or Senior accountant looking to contribute to our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
n
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
n
Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
n
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
n
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a mid-senior capacity.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
n
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Knowledge of Australian tax laws and financial regulations.
