Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and strategic Senior Independent Advisor to provide high-level advisory, stakeholder engagement and leadership support within a nationally significant advisory environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the development of strategic advice, recommendations, reports and briefing materials.
n
Work closely with senior leaders, advisory members and stakeholder groups to identify priorities and inform decision-making.
n
Facilitate workshops, meetings and consultation activities to gather feedback and insights.
n
Undertake research and analysis to support evidence-based recommendations.
n
Prepare executive-level papers, submissions and correspondence.
n
Coordinate and support the development of annual work plans and strategic priorities.
n
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
n
Support and guide advisory members to effectively contribute to discussions and outcomes.
n
Identify opportunities to improve processes, engagement approaches and ways of working.
n
Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision to a small team.
n
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Extensive experience developing high-quality advisory, policy or strategic documents.
n




Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
n
Solid stakeholder engagement, consultation and facilitation experience.
n
Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
n
Proven ability to manage complex projects and sensitive issues.
n
Strong leadership and people management skills.
n
Experience influencing outcomes and building relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
n
The ability to work autonomously while delivering high-quality outcomes under broad direction.
n

Highly Regarded Experience
n
n
Experience preparing advice, submissions or briefing materials for senior executives or government stakeholders.
n
Qualifications and/or experience in public policy, social policy, health, community services, research or related disciplines.
n
Experience analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
n
Strong understanding of governance, consultation and advisory processes.
n
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
n
Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing team performance.
n
