Diesel & Heavy Plant Mechanic
to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair
trucks, forklifts, loaders, balers, shredders, and other yard machinery
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical faults
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on all mobile plant and machinery
Record repairs, service details, and parts usage accurately
Work with Operations and Transport teams to minimise downtime
Assist with workshop projects, installations, and general yard support as required
Adhere to all WHS and safety procedures,



including lockout/tagout protocols
Skills & Qualifications
Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, or Fitter & Turner
Experience with trucks, forklifts, loaders, or heavy industrial machinery
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
HR or HC Heavy Vehicle licence preferred; Forklift licence advantageous
Ability to work independently, safely, and proactively in a large industrial yard
Strong organisational skills and attention to safety
