Our client, a global leader in advanced sheet metal processing and automation solutions, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead their Australian service operations. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a service team of approximately 20, including 6 direct reports (regional service managers, hotline support, and service administration/logistics staff)
n
Oversee national service operations, including installation, breakdowns, maintenance, and preventive maintenance planning
n
Manage service budgets, reporting, and performance targets
n
Handle escalated technical and customer issues to ensure timely resolution and high client satisfaction
n
Coordinate training, resource planning, and performance reviews for service engineers
n
Liaise with international headquarters on budgeting, technical training,



and service strategy
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, attending major breakdowns and installations where needed
n
Identify opportunities for service process improvements and commercial growth
n
Travel nationally as required to support regional teams and customers
n

About You
n
n
Proven experience as a Service Manager within an industrial or capital machinery environment
n
Strong mechanical, electrical, or automation background
n
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing technical field teams
n
Customer-focused mindset with strong commercial and budgeting acumen
n
Confident communicator, capable of working across multiple levels (customers, staff, and global stakeholders)
n
Previous experience working with European or Asian manufacturers highly regarded
n
Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally
n
