In House Accountant
to join our finance team on a
casual basis
. This position is based in
Geelong, VIC ****
and offers flexibility for the right candidate. As an In House Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organisation. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our leadership team with timely financial information to drive business decisions.
What you'll be doing
Processing and recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Preparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial accounts on a regular basis
Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Maintaining accurate and organised financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
Supporting the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor enquiries
Assisting with financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making
Managing invoicing, billing and collections activities
Performing month-end and year-end close procedures
Liaising with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors as required
What we're looking for
A relevant accounting qualification such as a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent experience in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices




Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
Familiarity with payroll and tax compliance processes
Experience in financial reporting and statement preparation is highly desirable
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standards
