In most organisations recruitment sits behind the real work. Here it is the one thing standing between thousands of people and care.
About biio.
biio. was built for patients with complex invisible illness — hypermobility, dysautonomia, MCAS, chronic pain and fatigue, and the presentations that travel with them. In two years we've cared for more than 5,000 people across more than 18,000 consults, and grown from a handful of practitioners to a team of more than 70. We have clinics in Melbourne and Perth, Sydney opens in Early **** and Brisbane and Adelaide follow. Over the next year we need to double that team again.
The role
We're looking for someone to own clinician recruitment end to end — sourcing, pipeline, screening and offers — working closely with the founders. You'll also take lead on how biio. reaches those clinicians in the first place — listings, careers page, outreach and referrals.
What matters most is
judgment
about people — telling early whether someone will listen to a patient who has been dismissed for fifteen years, or hold another clinician's perspective with an open mind. At biio., culture isn't a values list. It's the entire clinical model.
Recruitment experience in allied health or medical staffing is a bonus, but not essential. Agency recruiters wanting to move in-house are genuinely valued, and so are people ops generalists who want to specialise.



This is a coordinator role today. As the function matures and your understanding of the clinical service deepens, it may grow into a lead role and into broader people and culture work.
Who you'll work with
You won't build this alone. You'll work directly with our founders, who have been carrying much of this themselves, and alongside the Clinical Leads, our Onboarding Lead and our operations team. They'll feedback quickly whether a candidate will thrive here, and where the hiring need is greatest.

The people who do well here are low-ego and high-EQ: they ask before they assume and they treat another discipline's read on a patient as something to learn from rather than defend against. Humility, openness and inclusivity aren't slogans here — they're the conditions that let a multidisciplinary team reason as one.
Who it's for
This will suit someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who wants to build the function rather than inherit one, is comfortable working where the process doesn't exist yet, and would rather place twelve clinicians who hold true to why we exist than forty who don't. It's less suited to someone who measures a valuable month in requisitions closed, or who wants a mature function to step into and maintain.
Hours and location
Full-time, from anywhere in Australia, or hybrid from Collingwood, Subiaco or our Sydney clinic when it opens, with occasional travel for clinic openings and team celebrations.
