Company overview:
Our client is a global heavy industry business going through an exciting growth phase, with current ownership set to bring even bigger opportunities across the region. They're looking for a Senior HRBP to be the right hand to their Regional HR Manager, APAC — someone ready to own their own patch and grow into a leadership role as the business scales.
You'll be working across a genuinely blue-collar, industrial workforce (~120 people across office, workshop and field), leading on everything from EA/IR strategy through to coaching leaders and shaping the regional people plan. You'll join a small, tight-knit HR team of 4 (soon to be 5 as the new strategy firms up), with plenty of room to mentor and help grow the more junior members of the team.
What you'll be doing:
Acting as right-hand to the Regional HR Manager APAC — stepping in and leading when needed
Owning workforce planning, org design and succession strategy for the region
Leading EA/IR strategy, Fair Work matters and complex ER issues
Coaching leaders at all levels — including first-time leaders straight off the tools




Leading the people side of a major business transformation
Mentoring and growing the wider HR team
What you'll bring:
8-10 years' progressive HR experience (HRBP, Principal HR Advisor or similar)
Solid experience in blue-collar / industrial / manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Australian employment law
A genuine want to grow into a leadership role — this isn't a role for someone looking to coast
Confidence coaching and influencing leaders and senior stakeholders
A bit of resilience — this is a hands-on environment, and things won't always be neat and tidy
Nice to have :
Willingness and ability to coach, mentor and grow the more junior members of the HR team
Experience writing policies, templates and procedures from scratch
Exposure to FWC matters or unionised workforces
Experience across multi-site or FIFO operations
