The Langham Hotel, Melbourne is currently looking for an enthusiastic & motivated professional to join our Security team in the following position:
This role is responsible for providing safety and security support to all, guests, colleagues and departments within our luxury five-star hotel environment.
You will have the opportunity to work with our skilled Safety & Security team of five colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow with a luxury hotel brand, The Langham.
You will be able to be rostered a minimum of 16 hours per week, with availability to work any day over a seven day roster, both morning and afternoon shifts and overnight shifts.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide safety and security support to all departments, guests and colleagues including application of First Aid
Record all security occurrences in the security log book and prepare the necessary reports during patrols
Prepare daily incident reports, requisition, investigation reports and other required information
Conduct regular safety and security inspections of all hotel areas and recommend necessary changes to ensure hotel compliance
Liaise with guests in a professional courteous''5-Star manner''
Confer with management on shift with regard to all unusual security matters and advise Management of any irregularity in guest or colleague behaviour
Take all reasonable measures to eliminate risk to safety and security within the hotel.

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environment
Current Victorian Security Licence
Strong Negotiation skills
Friendly and open disposition
Ability to thrive under pressure




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven organisational & time management skills
