K&L; Gatesare currently seeking a Senior Manager, Public Relations &Communications; APAC to lead and execute our media and publicrelations strategy across the Asia Pacific region. This is ahigh-profile role that partners closely with senior leaders,lawyers, and marketing professionals across our global network toenhance the firm's market profile, protect its reputation, anddrive strategic communications initiatives.
Reporting tothe Director of Marketing, with a dotted line to regional clientgrowth leadership, you will serve as the firm's PR lead in APACwhile collaborating closely with colleagues across EMEA and theglobal communications team.
Aboutthe Role
As the seniorpublic relations leader in APAC, you will develop and implementstrategic media initiatives that support the firm's businessobjectives, practices, and lawyers. You'll oversee a broad range ofcommunications activities, including media relations, thoughtleadership promotion, executive profiling, crisis communications,and reputation management.
This roleoffers the opportunity to work directly with senior firm leadershipand play a critical role in shaping the firm's external profileacross key markets.
KeyResponsibilities include
Strategic MediaRelations
Developand execute proactive media relations strategies acrossAPAC.
Secureand manage media opportunities, including interviews, pressreleases, commentary opportunities, and by-linedarticles.
Buildand maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors,and key industry media.
Identifyopportunities to enhance the visibility of the firm's lawyers,practices, and thought leadership.
Executive andLeadership Communications
Advisefirm leadership on media engagement, public positioning, andcommunications strategy.
Partnerwith local and regional leaders to develop and implement mediastrategies.




Collaborate on mediaguidance and executive visibility initiatives for the firm'ssenior leadership.
Reputation andCrisis Management
Serve asa trusted advisor on media relations and crisiscommunications.
Assessand respond to media enquiries and emerging issues.
Developand implement communication strategies to manage reputationalmatters and sensitive issues.
Providesound judgement and strategic counsel in fast-movingsituations.
Communications andBrand Alignment
Ensureexternal messaging aligns with the firm's global brand,positioning, and business strategy.
Workclosely with marketing and business development teams toamplify strategic initiatives.
Coordinate traditionalmedia activity with social media outreach whereappropriate.
Measurement andStakeholder Management
Monitor,analyse, and report on firm media coverage.
Managerelationships with external agencies and communicationspartners where required.
Act as akey communications contact for international offices andregional stakeholders.

Qualifications andExperience
Bachelor's degree inPublic Relations, Communications, Journalism.
8-10+years' experience in public relations, media relations, orcorporate communications.
Experience withinprofessional services, government, or a corporateenvironment.
Law firmexperience will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated experiencemanaging crisis communications and reputationalissues.

Experience working withmedia monitoring and research platforms such as Cision,Meltwater, LexisNexis, or similar tools.
Advancedproficiency across Microsoft Office applications andcommunications technologies.
