Key Responsibilities
Diagnosemechanicalfaultsacrossengines,transmissions,steeringandothervehiclesystems
Inspectenginesandmechanicalcomponentstoidentifyfaults,damageandwear
Remove,dismantleandinspectmechanicalassembliesasrequired
Repair,replaceandrebuilddefectiveorwornvehiclecomponents
Carryoutscheduledservicingandpreventativemaintenance
Performoilchanges,lubrication,tune-upsandotherroutineservicingtasks
Usecomputeriseddiagnosticequipmenttoidentifyandtroubleshootvehiclefaults




Followmanufacturerspecifications,technicalinformationandserviceprocedures
Testrepairedvehiclesandcomponentstoconfirmsafeandreliableoperation
Completemechanicalrepairstoahighstandardwithattentiontodetail
Identifyrepairsandmaintenancerequiredtokeepvehiclesroadworthy
Maintainaccurateandprofessionalworkshoppractices
Followworkplacehealth,safetyandenvironmentalrequirements
Workcollaborativelywithotherautomotiveprofessionalstocompletejobsefficiently
Requirements & Eligibility
CertificateIIIorhigherqualificationinAutomotiveTechnology,MotorMechanicsorarelateddiscipline
Minimum3yearsofrelevantpracticalexperienceasaMotorMechanic
Demonstratedexperienceinvehicleservicing,diagnosticsandmechanicalrepairs
Strongfault-findingandproblem-solvingabilities
Experienceusingcomputerisedvehiclediagnosticequipment
Goodunderstandingofmodernautomotivemechanicalsystems
Abilitytointerprettechnicalandmanufacturerserviceinformation
Strongattentiontodetailandcommitmenttoqualityworkmanship
