The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, operational excellence, and long-term growth. Operating within a fast-paced production environment, they are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead site quality and food safety functions while continuing to strengthen quality culture across the operation.
n
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being highly visible on the floor, building capability within teams, and driving continuous improvement across both systems and behaviours.
n
The Role Reporting into site leadership, you will take ownership of the site Quality Management System and lead the QA function across manufacturing operations.
n
You will work closely with Production, Operations, and Technical teams to ensure food safety and quality standards are consistently maintained, while also driving engagement and accountability across the wider business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n

Lead and develop the site QA team
n
Maintain and improve quality and food safety systems
n
Drive a positive and proactive quality culture across the site
n
Manage internal, external, and customer audit processes
n




Partner closely with Operations to embed QA into daily manufacturing activities
n
Analyse quality trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
n
Support training and capability development across the workforce
n
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements
n
n
About You
n
You are anexperienced QA professional with a strong background in FMCG or manufacturing environments. You combine technical expertise with practical leadership and are confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.

You will bring:
n
n
Previous experience in a QA leadership role within manufacturing or FMCG
n
Strong understanding of food safety and quality systems
n
Experience managing audits and customer standards
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A proactive, hands-on approach to continuous improvement
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline highly regarded
n
