2 Permanent part time shifts available (weekdays or weekends)
About the Role
The Lifestyle Assistant co-facilitates group and individual activities based on each resident's assessed needs and preferences so that each resident may achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social and spiritual goals during daily living activities.
The shifts available are:
Position 1
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 9am-3pm
Position 2
Saturdays 10am - 5pm and 9am - 3pm
Sundays 11am - 6pm
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be kind, resident focussed and enjoy supporting residents to participate in a whole range of different activities.
You must have:
Availability to work the above shifts
Knowledge and experience in the provision of recreational/lifestyle activities to meet the needs of residents
Experience contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of lifestyle activities that incorporate residents' needs and preferences
Positive attitude towards older people including understanding of the needs of older people and a commitment to upholding their rights
Qualifications in Leisure & Lifestyle will be highly regarded!
You will be able to:
Work cooperatively as part of a team and follow instructions from appropriate supervisor
Effectively manage time and organise workload
Use an electronic documentation system and undertake documentation
Comply with Vasey RSL Care's infection prevention and control procedures including bare below the elbows policy and to wear clothing compatible with protected manual handling requirements of the role
