Kingaroy Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join its Midwifery Group Practice team on a 4-week contract from late September through October 2026. This is an chance to work in a rural healthcare setting, supporting the delivery of quality maternity care to the local community. The role is classified as Registered Midwife NRG5, with hours up to 80 per fortnight, and includes travel support capped at $200 each way from Brisbane.

- Work within a Midwifery Group Practice model, providing continuity of care and clinical autonomy
- Bring advanced clinical skills including ALS, neonatal resuscitation, and cannulation to a supportive rural team
- Four-week contract with flexible hours and travel assistance, ideal for experienced midwives seeking short-term placement

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certifications
- Demonstrated experience in Midwifery Group Practice models and rural or remote healthcare settings
- Competence in cannulation and other core midwifery clinical skills
- Team leader experience and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Current ALS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certifications
- Prior experience working in rural, remote, or regional maternity services
