Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT), (MIFANT), is a leading non-profit organisation providing services for children and young people at risk of developing a mental illness and people living with a mental illness and their carers and families.
MIFANT is the NT representative of the nationally recognised organisations: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia and Mental Health Carers Australia and have been providing services in the NT for over 30 years.
The Role
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the organisation.
- Collaborate with fellow committee members to develop and oversee MIFANT’s strategic plan and monitor key milestones.
- Actively participate in board meetings.
- Advocate for MIFANT's mission and initiatives within your network.
- Support fundraising efforts and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and qualifications in a relevant field (finance, law, business, governance).
- Solid understanding of not-for-profit governance and operations.
- Passion for improving community mental health outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute time and expertise to MIFANT.
