Project Engineer – Asset Management & SAP | Transport NSW

Location: Tweed Heads West, NSW – Tunnel Control Building
Contract: ASAP – 6 January 2027
Rate: $800–$1,000 per day + Super
Hours: 40 hours per week | Maximum 8 hours per day

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join Transport for NSW on a contract based in Tweed Heads West.

This role will support the setup and improvement of tunnel asset data and maintenance plans within SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on refining existing asset information, developing maintenance plans and improving the usability of asset management data.

About the Role
Working within Transport for NSW's Networks and Assets environment, you will use and manipulate existing asset and maintenance data to improve the way tunnel assets are managed. The broader Project Engineer role supports infrastructure and maintenance outcomes across road and traffic assets.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing, refining and structuring existing tunnel asset data.
- Assisting with the setup and development of asset information and maintenance plans in SAP S/4HANA.
- Creating and improving maintenance work orders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve asset data quality, functionality and usability.
- Supporting effective asset management and maintenance planning.




- Working with internal stakeholders and technical specialists to ensure systems and processes support operational requirements.
- Applying sound engineering, project management and information management practices.

About You
We are looking for an engineer with robust experience working with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and asset information.

You will ideally have:

- Demonstrated experience using and/or developing computerised maintenance management systems – essential.
- Experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA – highly desirable.
- Experience working with asset data, maintenance plans and work orders.
- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills.
- An understanding of infrastructure asset management and maintenance environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Good stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.
- A four-year Engineering degree (Electrical, Civil or related) from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
