What does the role look like?

An exciting opportunity is available for a commercially minded and analytically driven Commercial Analyst to join our high-performing Retail Commercial Team on a 9-month fixed-term contract based in New South Wales.

Located at our modern Erskine Park office, you'll partner closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide meaningful financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive commercial performance across a complex national customer network.

This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale customer contracts, develop sophisticated financial models, influence business outcomes, and gain valuable exposure to Australia's dynamic supply chain and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver commercial and operational reporting, analysis, and financial modelling to support business performance.
- Develop pricing models, business cases, and commercial frameworks for key customer contracts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the business.
- Provide meaningful insights through the analysis of financial, operational, and customer performance data.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance, and commercial teams to deliver business outcomes.

You will bring:

- A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA, or CFA qualification (or progress towards completion).
- Experience within commercial finance, management accounting, financial analysis, or business partnering environments.
- Solid financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience within Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Transport, Logistics, or similar operational industries will be advantageous.
