Due to strong growth, a well-established accounting and advisory firm in Perth is seeking a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join their Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive skilled with 5+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm, who is CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion, looking to step into a senior, client-facing role.
About the Role:
- Work with a diverse client base including hospitality, professional services, trades, construction, property & real estate, and more
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for a variety of entities (excluding SMSFs)
- Provide training and mentorship to junior and intermediate accountants
- Apply technical expertise in Div 7A, PSI, CGT, and FBT calculations
- Deliver advisory services with direct client contact from engagement to completion
- Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required
- Maintain and prepare clients’ financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
- Experience training or reviewing the work of graduate/junior accountants
- Exceptional communication skills, including consulting with and providing advice to clients
