Love great food, working in a fast-paced team, and bringing energy to every shift? We're looking for Casual Level 3, Grade 2 Cooks to join our Schnitz team at Melbourne Airport.

Whether you've gained experience in a quick service restaurant, takeaway venue, café, or commercial kitchen, we'd love to hear from you. If you're reliable, enjoy working with people, and are available to work 3-4 days per week, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

At Schnitz, we're passionate about serving Australia's favourite schnitzels while creating a fun, supportive workplace where our team can learn, grow, and develop their hospitality careers.

This is an all-rounder position where no two shifts are the same. You'll play an important role in delivering great food and great service, working across both the kitchen and front-of-house. From preparing fresh salads and cooking our famous chicken schnitzels to taking orders and serving customers with a smile and creating an exceptional experience for every guest.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and cook food in line with recipes and brand standards.

Operate cooking equipment including grills, fryers, and food preparation stations.

Work across both kitchen and front-of-house areas to support daily operations.

Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.

Prepare fresh ingredients, salads, and food items ready for service.

Provide friendly and effective customer service,



creating a positive experience for every guest.

Take customer orders, operate the POS system, and process payments accurately.

Work collaboratively with the team to deliver fast, high-quality service during busy periods.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), café, takeaway, food court, or hospitality environment.

Experience in food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety standards and the ability to ensure products are cooked correctly and consistently.

A passion for delivering great customer service and creating positive guest experiences.

A positive attitude, solid work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods.

Confidence working across both kitchen and customer-facing areas.

Availability to work 3-4 shifts per week on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn).
