The Role

You will be working with a young team and young, flexible manager with a commitment to ongoing development and mentoring. You will start with fitting, servicing and rotating tyres with a customer service element. Offered training over time can introduce you to working in any and every aspect of the business.

About You

All we ask of you is that you have a good work ethic and good communication skills among the team and customers. You must be physically fit with knowledge of WHS practices. BONUS if you have knowledge of the automotive industry and/or 4WD industry. Experience a must!

We require that you be an Australian resident and hold a current manual drivers licence.

Job Description

Day-to-day responsibilities include fitting, balancing, rotating,



and repairing tyres for a variety of vehicles, along with performing basic wheel and rim inspections. The Tyre Technician will also support battery checks and replacements, assist with routine equipment maintenance in the workshop, and ensure tools and work areas are safe and organised. The role involves interacting with customers, explaining service options, and helping uphold Bud’s Tyres’ commitment to fast, friendly, and high-quality service. Accurate record-keeping, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with other team members are essential parts of the position.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with customers and team members, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Hands-on experience with tire maintenance and repair, including fitting, balancing, puncture repairs, and basic wheel inspections.
- Knowledge of batteries and related services, such as testing, replacement, and protected handling procedures.
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance, including routine checks and minor repairs on workshop tools and machinery.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Previous experience in an automotive or tire workshop environment is highly beneficial.
- Reliable transportation to commute to Burleigh Heads, QLD, and ability to work in an onsite arrangement.
- Physical ability to safely lift and handle tyres and equipment as part of daily duties.
