That’s Amore Cheese is a leading Australian producer of traditional Italian-style cheeses, proudly made in Thomastown. We are seeking dedicated Part-Time Cleaning & Hygiene Team Members to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our production environment stays spotless and compliant with the highest food safety standards. Please note this role is casual with set hours, with ongoing work and opportunity for permanant for the right candidates.
This is a physically demanding production environment requiring the ability to safely lift up to 20kg
About the Role
Working in our production facility, you will:
- Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, turning and moving around heavy equipment for cleaning
- Follow strict cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Complete hygiene checks and maintain accurate records.
- Report equipment or facility issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure high hygiene standards are consistently met.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Minimum 1 year cleaning experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 20kgs
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OHS requirements.
- Physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting and cleaning tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Experience or training in chemical safety handling (Bonus).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads.
- Positive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe work workplace.
Hours of Work
- 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility is required on busy days, with hours occasionally extended.
