Already operating five successful locations, the business has established a strong platform and is now preparing for its next phase of expansion. With growth comes the need to strengthen the people function - and that's where you come in.

We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to take ownership of the day-to-day people function across a workforce of approximately 150 employees.

Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the operational leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to influence how the business recruits, develops, engages and retains its people as the group continues to grow.

This isn't HR from behind a desk. It's a hands-on, operational role for someone who wants to get close to the business, build strong relationships with managers and help create the people foundations required for the next stage of growth.

The role

You’ll be the go-to HR partner across the business, supporting leaders and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing recruitment, onboarding and induction across the group
- Partnering with managers on employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters
- Coaching operational leaders and building their capability as people managers
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards, WHS requirements and company policies
- Coordinating probation and performance reviews and supporting employee development
- Supporting workforce planning, rostering compliance and payroll administration
- Developing and improving HR policies, procedures and people systems
- Coordinating training, certifications and compliance requirements
- Managing workplace investigations and conflict resolution where required
- Monitoring turnover,



recruitment requirements and broader workforce trends
- Driving employee engagement and helping build a positive, accountable workplace culture
- Providing meaningful people reporting and insights to the CEO and senior leadership team

About you

You’ll ideally bring 3-5+ years' experience within HR or People & Culture, with enough experience and confidence to manage a broad remit and operate autonomously.

We’re particularly interested in candidates from hospitality, QSR, retail or other fast-paced, multi-site environments. You’ll understand the realities of supporting a large frontline workforce and know how to balance good HR practice with the commercial demands of an operational business.

You’ll bring strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work and Modern Awards, together with solid experience across employee relations, performance management and compliance.

Just as importantly, you’ll be pragmatic, approachable and commercially minded. You’ll enjoy being out in the business, building relationships with managers and employees and finding solutions that actually work operationally.
