RN - Broken Hill Hospital - Palliative Care

Broken Hill Base Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse with palliative care experience to join their team on a three-month contract. Based in Broken Hill, NSW, this role runs from 12 October 2026 through to 15 January 2027, offering a salary range of AUD$53.93 to AUD$78.50 per hour. This is an opportunity to deliver compassionate, specialist care in a supportive healthcare environment.

- Provide direct patient care in a palliative care setting, supporting patients and families through complex clinical needs

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in palliative care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills, particularly in sensitive patient interactions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Emergency response capability and sound clinical judgment in acute situations

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate qualification or formal training in palliative care nursing
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
