The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated MRO Technician to join our team at Port Melbourne. In this role, you will be directly responsible for performing maintenance, repair,



and overhaul (MRO) activities on the Leonardo product line to specific quality and timeliness standards. You will carry out technical tasks, inspections, and documentation to maintain the highest level of aviation safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform mechanical assembly, parts cleaning, surface preparation, and repairs according to task instructions.
- Complete maintenance records and sign off on authorised tasks within scope.
- Ensure strict adherence to aviation standards, CASA / EASA Part 145 regulations, and LHD QAP guidelines.
- Maintain tool and equipment serviceability, calibration, and workshop cleanliness.
- Identify and report non-conformances, maintenance errors, and data discrepancies to support continuous improvement.
- Apply Human Factors principles and participate in theoretical, practical, and on-the-job training.

What We Are Looking For:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Trade Certificate in Engineering Aeronautics, a technical discipline, or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience in an Aerospace/Aviation environment (Technician role), OR
- Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience, including inspection experience within a component overhaul and repair environment (Inspector role).

- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems (transmissions and engines highly regarded) and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Compliance: Willingness to adhere to the Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) policy.
- Requirements: Full Australian work rights and a clear National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
