Oreco Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team in Childers, QLD. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse industrial electrical projects within a agile and growing organisation. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards across our operations. This role is crucial to maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our industrial facilities.

What you'll be doing

- Installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs to minimise downtime
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and blueprints to execute work accurately
- Conducting preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and site teams to complete projects on schedule
- Documenting work completed and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshooting complex electrical problems and implementing effective solutions
- Assisting with the installation of new electrical systems and equipment

What we're looking for

- A current electrical licence or trade qualification recognised in Queensland
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as an industrial electrician
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery and equipment




- Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- A solid understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, including AS/NZS 3000
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in varied environments and at heights where required
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or automation systems is advantageous
