The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital offers a New Rehabilitation wing, new allied health gym, and hydrotherapy.

THE ROLE

We are currently seekingSenior Registered Nurses -part time 0.6 FTE or Full timeto join our excellent nursing team for Morning, Afternoon, Night Duty and weekends.

DUTIES

Provide safe and efficient nursing care specific to each patient’s clinical, physical and psych-social needs.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing carein conjunction with comprehensive care plans.

Supervise the health, safety, nutrition,



hygiene and comfort of the patient.

Respect all patient requests and beliefs and communicate to members of the health care team.

Ensure accurate and informed handovers take place to provide continuous care of patients.

Confidence to address issues within abilities but escape as needed

Support manager/staff as needed

Assist with orientation of new staff

Ensure good clinical documentation

Good model behavior in patient care, infection prevention and control, and general patient management.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

To be successful in the role you will need:

At least 5 years and above of experience in a hospital settingin Australia

Current AHPRA registration

Current Police Check

Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated effective organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated effective written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing career development
