Position Information

Inverell High School is a rural, comprehensive, co-educational high school with an enrolment of 480 students. A significant number of our students are from a low SES backgrounds and 30% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. Our school provides learning environments that cater for individual student learning needs, as well as opportunities that allow all students to develop to their full potential. We have a Support Unit including classes for mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, as well as a four Multi-Categorical classes. A strong and well-recognised culture of inclusion and achievement is supported by extensive wellbeing initiatives. The school ensures students have a balanced, well-rounded education with access to a diverse range of academic, sporting and cultural opportunities. There is a strong tradition of student and parent participation and the school maintains productive links with local businesses and organisations.

Specific Selection Criteria

- Approved to teach Mathematics (7-12).
- Capacity for exemplary teaching with a focus on enhancing learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated effective classroom management and wellbeing practices to build positive relationships to empower students to be safe, respectful, engaged and resilient learners.




- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with staff, students and the community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

- Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00.
- Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00.
- Leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
- Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.
