Gigafy is an Australian wholesale Internet Service Provider delivering fibre networks to apartments, hotels, build-to-rent and other high-density projects. We’re looking for a senior telecommunications field tech who can lead installation jobs end-to-end in Melbourne and take some day-to-day load off our Head of Installations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role (you’ll still be on the tools doing installations and faults), but you’ll also run jobs on site, coordinate subcontractors, resolve site issues, and provide clear progress updates.
What You’ll Be Doing
Fault finding and rectification across fibre/copper/Cat6
Lead installs and upgrades across Melbourne & surrounds (new build + live environments)
Site surveys, scope confirmation, quoting and pre-install checks
Coordinate site access, inductions, builders/building managers and other trades
Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality, safety, and tidy handovers
