We are seeking a protected and experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our team in a agile and fast-paced steel fabrication environment. Perfect role for a Gantry Crane Operator seeking stable hours, great rates and a hands-on role.
WHAT'S ON OFFER:
Competitive rates and overtime opportunities paid at penalty rates
7am starts and early finish on Fridays
Support and upskilling provided within a supportive team environment
4 week assignment and ASAP start with potential to continue long term
Work with a national steel and sheet metal manufacturer and supplier
THE ROLE:
Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position steel and sheet metal coils
Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials
Input job orders into machines
Follow strict safety and quality standards in the workplace
ABOUT YOU:
Proven experience operating overhead/ gantry cranes in a steel or industrial workplace
Forklift licence and/ or gantry crane ticket preferred
Good understanding of load limits and protected rigging practices
Available to start asap
Strong focus on safety and quality in the workplace
