About the role

As a Retail / Trade Sales Assistant, you will play an important part in providing our customers with knowledgeable, friendly and efficient service.

Part Time, Full Time or Casual hours available for the right applicant.

Key responsibilities
Assisting retail and trade customers with product selection and advice
Processing sales, quotes and customer orders
Building solid relationships with our regular trade customers
Answering customer enquiries in person and over the phone
Helping customers find practical solutions for their building, renovation and DIY projects
Maintaining product presentation, merchandising, replenishing and organising stock when required
Working alongside our yard, trade and retail teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately
Supporting the wider team during busy trading periods
Maintaining a secure, clean and organised workplace

About you
Enjoys delivering excellent customer service
Is confident communicating with a wide variety of customers
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Is reliable, organised and willing to take responsibility
Works well as part of a team
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and trade environment




Has good attention to detail
Is willing to learn about our products and the building industry
Previous experience within hardware, timber, building supplies, construction, trade sales or retail would be highly regarded, however it is not essential for the right person
