This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced retail setting, takes initiative and is confident helping guide a team. Working closely with the Operations manager and management team, you will help the grocery team with day-to-day planning and direction, maintain high presentation standards, support staff and ensure the department is running efficiently, safely and with the customer at the forefront.
Key responsibilities
Take a leading role in the day-to-day operation of the Grocery Department
Help coordinate daily tasks, priorities and workflow to ensure the department operates efficiently
Provide guidance, support and direction to Grocery team members as required
Lead by example and help foster a positive, respectful and productive team environment
Assist with training and supporting new and existing team members
Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment and ensure products are rotated and presented appropriately
Help maintain high standards of product availability, presentation, cleanliness and organisation
Ensure the high quality and appropriate display of all products
Assist with food safety, quality, cleaning and OH&S; checks as required, maintaining accurate records to meet compliance requirements
