The Chance

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong finance executive to oversee the group reporting for a high-growth multinational with a Melbourne Head Office. Our client has enjoyed a lot of recent success and the Group Financial Controller will inherit a high calibre finance team.

With a proven history of value creation, the business is well placed to further capitalize on domestic and global expansion both organically and through acquisitions.

The Challenge

n

Leading the Group's end-to-end financial reporting process, you will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

n

- Communicating and influencing key stakeholders across the executive team – this will be critical to your success
n
- Ongoing development, support and management of a team of 3+ high performers – this will be also critical to your success
n
- Oversight of the monthly consolidation process and month end close,



including ensuring the integrity of Group financial results
n
- Lead the delivery of consolidated reporting to the Board, including ongoing evolution of reporting in line with the expansion of the Group
n
- Responsibility for the delivery and accuracy of the Group annual report and half year report
n
- Providing support and guidance to the Group on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications
n
- Providing input and take ownership of various projects, including a number of current and future M&A; activities
n
- Responsible for development and enhancement of consolidation and financial reporting tools
n

The Expertise

n

To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:

n

n
- Group accounting experience in a mid-large sized corporate
n
- Stakeholder management experience at the CFO / CEO / Audit & Risk Committee level
n
- Exposure to global business matters and complex accounting matters
n
- A well developed values based approach to communication, management and leadership
n
