Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably qualified Podiatrists - Grade 1 Graduate to join the Podiatry and Orthotics team

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Podiatrist to join Northern Health's Podiatry and Orthotics team in a full-time fixed-term position until 30 January 2028.

n

This position is primarily based at the Bundoora Campus and focuses on delivering high-quality podiatry services across subacute inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful applicant will provide evidence-based podiatry assessment, treatment and management to a diverse patient population, including patients requiring diabetes-related foot care, wound management and rehabilitation services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team,



you will contribute to excellence in patient care, quality improvement, service development and professional practice. This Grade 1 position is ideal for a new graduate or early career podiatrist and includes access to Northern Health's dedicated new graduate support program, structured supervision and professional development opportunities

To be successful in this role you will have

n

n
- Undergraduate Degree in Podiatry.
n
- Current (Or Pending) registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA).
n
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
n
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
n
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan and implement podiatry interventions that support high-quality, person-centred care.
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to team outcomes.
n
- Understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge in, diabetes management, wound care and rehabilitation services.
n
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and ongoing professional development.
n
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and respond to referrals within agreed timeframes. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and continuous learning
