Assistant Bar Manager, Fulltime, Black Hide Queen's Wharf

Gambaro Hospitality Group is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to join our dynamic team at Black Hide Queen's Wharf in Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD 4000. As Assistant Bar Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional beverage service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Working alongside our experienced bartending team, you will support our Bar Manager in engineering the drinks menu, staff training and service of cocktails, spirits, wines and beers while maintaining our high standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages to the highest standard

n

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are fulfilled promptly

n

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste appropriately

n

Operate the till system and process payments accurately

n

Comply with all responsible service of alcohol legislation and venue policies

n

Assist with stock rotation and inventory management under supervision

n

Able to manage a shift independently, under supervision of the venue manager

n

Assist the Bar Manager in engineering the drink menu and the day to day operation of the bar

n

Maintain impeccable standards of personal hygiene and appearance

n

Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as required

n

What we're looking for

n

Ideally 1 year experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role

n

Robust knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beers,



or proven ability to develop this knowledge quickly

n

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

n

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

n

Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods

n

Basic numeracy skills for till operations and cash handling

n

Good communication and teamwork abilities

n

Able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

n

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
