About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Site Supervisor to join our growing construction team.

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of custom residential homes and commercial construction projects, ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, to a high standard of workmanship, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications and construction schedules.

n

This is a hands‐on role requiring strong trade coordination, construction knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to proactively identify and resolve site issues.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Manage construction projects from site commencement through to completion and handover.

n

Coordinate and supervise trades, subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries.

n

Maintain construction schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved.

n

Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship at every stage.

n

Ensure works comply with approved architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and relevant building requirements.

n

Identify construction issues early and coordinate practical solutions.

n

Review plans, engineering documentation and construction details before works commence.

n

Coordinate site requirements with the construction, estimating and administration teams.

n

Monitor materials and ensure orders and deliveries align with the construction program.

n

Maintain clean, organised and professionally managed construction sites.

n





Ensure WHS requirements and company safety procedures are followed by all trades and contractors.

n

Conduct quality checks before progressing to subsequent construction stages.

n

Coordinate building inspections and rectify identified items promptly.

n

Manage defects, incomplete works and quality issues with relevant trades.

n

Maintain accurate site records, photographs, progress updates and construction documentation.

n

Provide regular project progress reports to management.

n

Coordinate practical completion inspections, defect rectification and final handover.

n

Assist with post-handover maintenance matters where required.

n

Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, trades, suppliers and other stakeholders.

About You

n

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects and has a strong focus on quality, scheduling and accountability.

n

You will ideally have:

n

Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor or Site Manager within the Australian construction industry.

n

Robust experience in custom residential construction, with commercial construction experience highly regarded.

n

Sound knowledge of Australian residential construction methods and sequencing.

n

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings,



engineering plans and specifications.

n

Strong understanding of construction quality standards and site safety requirements.

n

Excellent trade and subcontractor management skills.

n

Strong scheduling and organisational abilities.

n

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

n

Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to make practical site decisions.

n

High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

n

Confidence dealing with clients, trades, consultants and suppliers.

n

Good computer and construction management system skills.

n

Relevant Australian construction/site supervision experience.

n

Valid Victorian Driver Licence.

n

Construction Industry White Card.

n

Full Australian working rights.

n

Ability to travel between construction sites across Melbourne.

n

A relevant building qualification, trade background, Diploma of Building and Construction, or equivalent industry experience will be highly regarded.
