As we continue to expand our wet fire capabilities and bring more sprinkler servicing in-house, we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician / Sprinkler Fitter to join our team.

As we continue to expand our wet fire capabilities and bring more sprinkler servicing in-house, we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician / Sprinkler Fitter to join our team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance and rectification of fire sprinkler and associated wet fire systems.

Your duties will include:

This is an opportunity to become an important part of a growing division with a large existing portfolio of ongoing service work.

- Routine inspection, testing and servicing of fire sprinkler systems
- Monthly, six-monthly and annual testing and maintenance
- Sprinkler valve and alarm testing
- Fire pump and associated equipment testing
- Identifying system defects and required rectification works
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with repairs, upgrades and system rectification works
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements
- Working closely with our service, auditing and management teams





Must-Have Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

- Certificate III in Fire Protection Services, or an equivalent recognised fire protection trade qualification
- Current Victorian Fire Protection plumbing registration or licence
- Demonstrated experience working on commercial fire sprinkler systems
- Sound working knowledge of AS 1851 and routine service requirements for wet fire systems
- Experience carrying out routine sprinkler system inspection, testing and maintenance
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and safely across commercial sites
- Ability to accurately identify, document and report system defects

Highly Regarded

The following experience and qualifications will be highly regarded:

- Relevant FPA Australia / FPAS accreditation
- Fire hydrant system inspection, testing and maintenance experience
- Fire pump and pumpset testing experience
- Annual water supply and flow testing experience
- Five-yearly sprinkler and hydrant system testing experience
- Experience with sprinkler system repairs, alterations and installations
- Additional wet fire qualifications and competencies
