This position will ideally be based in Brisbane, however we are open to Sydney candidates.
n
About the role
n
As Head of Inventory Strategy, you'll lead the development and execution of inventory management strategies across our domestic and international network. You'll play a pivotal role in optimising revenue performance, retaining load factor, improving yield and delivering ambitious commercial and transformation outcomes.
n
You'll work closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Network Planning, Sales, Digital and Finance, using data, market insight and commercial judgement to influence strategic decisions.
n
You'll also lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Revenue Managers and Analysts, driving capability uplift, best-practice adoption and robust commercial outcomes.

You'll be responsible for
n
n
- Leading daily inventory management across your assigned portfolio, aligned to Commercial and Revenue Management strategy.
n
- Developing and executing inventory strategies across domestic and international markets.
n
- Monitoring portfolio performance and optimising interventions, overbooking, spoilage and revenue uplift opportunities.
n
- Articulating inventory strategy and trading environment for effective senior decision-making.
n
- Driving greater integration between pricing,
inventory and forecasting functions.
n
- Using market trends, competitor activity and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions.
n
- Improving the use of analytics and systems, including Sabre RO and DA, to enhance revenue performance.
n
- Driving the adoption and implementation of AI to drive Commercial outcomes
n
- Influencing executive decision-making through clear, compelling revenue insights and recommendations.
n
- Representing Revenue Management in cross-functional forums and strategic initiatives.
n
- Identifying and mitigating risks related to revenue performance and supporting business resilience.
n
- Leading talent development, succession planning, performance reviews and capability uplift across Inventory Management.
n

You'll be excellent in this role if you
n
n
- Have significant experience in airline revenue management, pricing or commercial strategy.
n
- Have a proven track record of delivering revenue growth and identifying commercial value opportunities.
n
- Have led large, complex teams and developed high-performing people.
n
- Bring experience leading transformation or significant change initiatives.
n
- Have strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and advanced analytical skills.
n
- Can translate complex insights into a explicit narrative for senior decision-making.
n
- Are an exceptional stakeholder manager and communicator,
confident influencing at executive level.
n
- Have strong knowledge of the Australian aviation market and best-practice revenue management, including inventory management and pricing.
n
- Understand revenue management operating models, processes, performance loops and system usage.
n
- Have a strong focus on data quality, interrogation and insight generation.
n
- Hold a tertiary qualification in economics, business or a related discipline.
n
- Have experience with Sabre products or revenue management systems, which would be highly regarded.
n
