Centre Director I Nominated Supervisor I Marrickville

$48 – $50 per hour plus worker retention grant

Marrickville Rd Preschool is seeking a passionate and experienced Director I Nominated Supervisor to join our dedicated team with a flexible 4 or 5 days per week. This role is supported with a dedicated administration manager so that you can focus on the preschool children families and educators.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a meaningful leadership role within a community-focused, child-centred preschool, supported by experienced staff.

About the Role

This is a people-focused role, work closely with the team both on and off the floor, providing support, guidance and mentoring while helping create a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

You will also build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community, creating trust, connection and meaningful community involvement.

This role is well suited to a confident, approachable and team-oriented leader who is passionate about mentoring educators, building a strong team culture and delivering excellence in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service

Ensure compliance with the NQF, Child Safe Standards and QIP

Support and mentor educators to achieve high-quality outcomes

Work collaboratively on and off the floor, including assisting with lunch-break coverage when required





Oversee the administrative responsibilities, including enrolments, records, compliance documentation and reporting

Maintain accurate records through the OWNA platform

Build strong and positive relationships with children, families and the community

Foster a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture

Support rosters, staffing requirements and service operations

Contribute to continuous improvement and quality outcomes

Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)

Previous experience as a Director in an Early Childhood Service

Strong knowledge of the NQF

Experience using OWNA or a similar childcare management system

Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
